Fun things to do this February!
Montréal isn’t the sort of city that lets a little thing like winter stand in its way. There's always a ton of ways to have a good time. Montréal remains just as vibrant and alive during the dead of winter as it does during the dog days of summer. The Vertica Resident Services blog team wants to help pack your winter with pleasure. Your apartment at The Shaughn is the perfect homebase for fun things to do this February.
Old Montréal Food Tour
The Old Port of Montréal, with its cobblestone streets and old-world architecture, is one of the most beautiful areas of the city. What is kind of new in Old Montréal is the cutting-edge food scene. There are some great new restaurants opening that cater to much more than the tourist crowd. The Old Montreal Food Tour takes you on a journey to discover many of these new hotspots -- highlighting Quebec culture and history at the same time. Walk around the beautiful neighbourhood, stop and warm up with some world-class food, repeat. The tour lasts about 3 hours and involves a 2.3 kilometre walk. Expect 5 food stops, including 3 sit-down restaurants.
Montréal en Lumière
Montréal en Lumière is one of the most beloved winter festivals in the city. Its mission is to help “take back winter” with live music, fine dining, art installations and, of course, the famous Nuit Blanche all-night art show extravaganza. Let Lumière light up your life this winter, from February 21st to March 3rd, 2019.
Are you ready to step-up your fun-game this winter? DodgeBow is more fun than you can shake a stick at. They are located only 15 minutes from The Shaughn. This fun and safe combat sport is a combination of dodgeball and soft-arrow archery. Think paintball, without the pain or the paint. Up to 24 people can compete in the DodgeBow Arena. Equipment, including a facemask, is provided. It’s more fun than laser tag. It’s more fun than almost anything! Stop missing out!
No matter what you love to do, you can find it in Montréal. The Vertica blog team hopes this list helps provide a creative spark that helps light your way through a fun February.
